REACH
REACH is an outreach
management tool that
provides a simple way in
which to capture outreach
activities, their outcomes
and related information such
as contacts and
participants. Suitable for a
wide range or organisations,
REACH is geared toward ease
of use and speed of entry.
Where an organisation
routinely organises external
activities for
dissemination, recruitment,
sales or other marketing
related purposes - REACH
acts as the repository for
all of the information
around the events, those
that organise them and those
that attend.
The REACH interface runs on
Microsoft Windows. Behind
this user interface sits an
LG01 Datawarehouse
(database). Whilst this can
be locally stored, it would
more usually be held
centrally to enable team
working, better security and
centralised backup. As
information is entered by
one or more REACH users, it
is stored securely within
the datawarehouse, in a form
that is ideal for subsequent
analysis or reporting.
Many of the entry fields use
lookups to speed up entry
and provide consistency.
REACH has an Administrator
function that permits these
lookups to be customised,
and the same tool controls
the level of data access by
user should there be
sensitivities around who can
see which data items.
For those users who also use LINK, our data analysis tool, there is a high degree of integration between the two tools. Information entered into REACH will automatically appear as datasets to be analysed automatically within LINK, both tools enjoy a broadly similar interface, and both employ our Filter dialog as a means to manipulate, restrict or refine the data being used. In addition, where both products are installed, they will use a common datawarehouse.
